UWA widgets now available on Windows Vista and Live.com
Remember a few weeks ago, when we announced that Netvibes worked perfectly on the iPhone through its mobile interface, and therefore UWA too? At the time, we promised a handful of announcement for the following weeks. Well, here we are.
Those of you who have witnessed the rebirth of Ecosystem, the Netvibes widget directory, probably noticed that each UWA widget’s page now features direct links to add or download the widgets for other platforms. We left some space for further additions, obviously…

Two of those new additions have been delivered this week: Windows Vista and Windows Live now get UWA support thanks to the tireless work of our fine team of developers! We are very proud of this release, since it expand the reach of UWA widgets that much more, while not changing anything in the way UWA widgets are developed. That means: all your UWA widgets can right now make use of such a support: users just have to click the appropriate link in Ecosystem, and enjoy your widget anywhere they want, on any of the supported platforms.
Of course this release is still fresh out of the oven: there must some quirks that we haven’t ironed out yet – hence, the “beta” tag. Help us to make these two additions sturdier by letting us know of anything wrong you might encounter! Thank you.
Last but not least, we also redesigned the homepage of the Netvibes Developer Network. Less text, more platforms! Indeed, you might have notice we have put up the two new platforms in there, along with a forthcoming one: yes, dear developers, we expect UWA to fully work on the Yahoo! Widgets platform (formerly Konfabulator) soon!

Stay tuned!
