New design and UWA doc update
As you might have noticed by now, we have been redesigning all our web properties to new Ginger look, all the while expanding them with a couple new websites - read the blog post about it!

Sites redesigns and launches
In our own corner of the Netvibes-sphere, you can witness such new design everywhere : the DevNet home-page, the documentation, the developers forum, and of course the present blog.
Other web properties have been switch to the Ginger look: the Netvibes blog, the Netvibes FAQ, the Netvibes tools page. Two new sites are also a click away: our corporate site, and the Netvibes tour site.
Changes to the documentation
Visitors of the Netvibes developers documentation might have seen it evolve recently, too.

For starters, we have decided to greatly reduce the numbers of link in the UWA documentation home-page. The sub-links were put in place as a way to create a quicker access to actual content, but it turned out to make the number of possibilities too overwhelming for newcomers.
We therefore have decided to let the sub-links stay in their subsection, and only link to major content, in 3 sections : Documentation, Tutorials and Examples. Note that no content has been lost in the process: all the existing URLs still work as they should (if not, let us know!).
Following the same spirit of giving direct access to information and simplifying things for developers, we have created a new page: UWA monopage. Developers should find all the information they need about UWA in this single file, which is easily printable. More advanced information are still to be found online, but this should give a good overview to both newcomers and advanced UWA developers, just like the UWA cheat-sheet does.
Finally, a new section is born: Netvibes APIs. Since Netvibes has decided to open up much of its data, the APIs will be documented in this space. For now, you have access to the Ecosystem API, and the Netvibes REST API should come soon. Stay tuned…

I like the new design of the dev pages. Actually, I was quite surprised by them. One morning I was reading a page with the old design. About 2 hours later, I went back and everything had changed.
I really love the pencil drawing of the UWA parser and the boxes.

I like the new design very much but I would like to tell you about myself and what I am trying to accomplish: I am an Icelandic writer, translator and owner of the webmagazine Netsaga.is where I publish free of charge all kinds of stories, poems and articles. In the magazine you can see a lot of pretty pictures from my country and also hear the best music in the world, composed and played by an Icelandic musician.
Thank you
