The RSSReader sample widget

This widget will display the latest X items of a given RSS feed. The user can change its preference to point to another RSS feed, or display a different number of items

This simple widget combines the basic functionalities of the UWA into a single file: Ajax data retrieval, JSON representation parsing, dynamic XHTML markup building.

To get to the code, select the standalone version of the widget you are interested in, and display its code through your browser's appropriate option.

Apple Dashboard users: download the UWA widget, install it on your Dashboard, copy/paste the URL of the online UWA widget you want to test (don't use a local, offline copy), and enjoy.
