Hi guys,
We're really close to finish our first widget. Just a few more testing and we're done.
I wonder how to handle the "release". Should I build a special "landing-page" with the widget description? or simply the widget-URL itself (the xhtml file) is enough?
Can anyone share some information and tips about releasing a widget?
Thanks!
Ron

To each his own, really. Obviously we would push with adding your widget to Ecosystem, which is the only way of having it available through in-Ginger widget search. But you may also create your own page, with links inspired for those you would find on the widget's Ecosystem page...

Xavier,
Thanks...
I have added my widget... Can you say how long it takes to get authorized?
http://eco.netvibes.com/widgets/240508/triptouch
And another thing - when I click on 'details' the widget doesn't work... although the link itself (http://www.triptouch.com/nvwidget) works fine. Any ideas what's going on?
Thanks!
Ron
PS - I tried logging-in to the forums in another computer yesterday and the links didn't work (The page "type" was wrong and so I got the PHP code downloaded...). I'm not sure if it's fixed by now, because on this computer I'm already logged in.

Oh, and another thing - I stopped getting email updates on new posts to forum topics I'm subscribed to (just like this post)...

Your widget is up, thanks for this creation ![]()
Don't hesitate to report if this mime type issue comes back. A screenshort would help in this case...

Xavier,
Thanks! I hope you like our widget ;-)
I still can't see it live -

Or am I missing anything?
If I ever see the mime issue again, I'll make a screenshot, I didn't think of that.
Ron.

Hi,
Just wanna follow up - I've been emailing Xavier privatly, and he's been most helpful. My widget now shows great in the eco-system - I was doing things that are not okay (like importing an external JS file) and now it seems to be all okay.
Cheers!
Ron
